My biggest role model; what can I say?
You excel amazingly at all that you do,
Nobody at all can compare to you.

I sit awestruck at your prowess,
Inspired by the all skills that you possess.
I will never reach a level so high.
Not many could; and who could deny?

Barely knowing you, I could tell you were kind,
I had an impulsive thought and made up my mind,
I asked you be my mentor, but you are now more,
My Brother, my Friend, someone I adore.

I know you said that poetry does not have to rhyme
It's a tough habit to break when it is poetry-writin-time.
My wording will never approach your own technique,
But I'm happy to know you, and... admire your physique?
