From this earnest neglect.

Why tear your heart out for a man
As fickle as a season's trend?
Find one who grounds you, not the hand
That snaps a toy in tantrum's end.

Or better yet, look deep within,
Discover your own soul;
While some crave only another's skin,
True partners make you whole.
