Shadowed sentinel guarding walls,
Protecting what's inside,
Holding space, reminding me,
That I don't have to hide.
Iced gaze of crystal hue,
Behind a hood of black,
Bloodied blade, throats cut so deep,
There's no way we're going back.
'Build me a home,' I asked of you,
And with each tender caress,
Closer we moved, until the day,
You did finally acquiesce.
With fang and claw and feral growl,
You remind me this is true,
As shadowed hearts intertwine,
And I move ever forward with you.
