(Chorus)
Heave ho, the black sails rise,
Under blood and stormy skies,
With iron law and sable ring,
All hail the Meropis Pirate King!
(Verse 1)
From Malodor's shore he came by night,
With Truths like chains and eyes like blight.
No parley spoke, no mercy cast,
He claimed the deep with shadowed mast.
(Verse 2)
The Kraken bowed, the reefs did part,
To let him sail with a butcher's heart.
His cutlass kissed the heads of men,
Then drank their screams and struck again.
(Chorus)
Heave ho, the black sails rise,
Under blood and stormy skies,
With iron law and sable ring,
All hail the Meropis Pirate King!
(Verse 3)
He wears no gold, but iron crown,
His flag a skull 'neath eyes cast down.
His crew are slaves to might and will,
Their loyalty bought by right to kill.
(Verse 4)
The lords of sea and smugglers proud,
Now rot in chains or serve and bow's.
He rules by Sartan's burning brand,
And paints His mark on sea and sand.
(Chorus)
Heave ho, the black sails rise,
Under blood and stormy skies,
With iron law and sable ring,
All hail the Meropis Pirate King!
(Bridge / Slow)
The sea, once free, now holds its breath,
For every tide speaks deathless Death.
He sails not drunk, nor sings with glee-
His song is Law, and Misery.
(Final Chorus - slower, louder)
Heave ho, the black sails rise,
No quarter a eath the darkened skies,
His will is flame, his voice a sting-
All hail the Meropis Pirate King!
Penned by my hand on the 19th of Scarlatan, in the year 982 AF.
