Blasphemy Against Oneiros

He must have been a fool; a child would know
No precedent or logic in His rites.
How did He fail to see that it is so?
No denizen I've seen accepts the blow
of fist or flame, the will to live ignites.
He must have been a fool; a child would know.
Adventurers still worse, they seek to grow
through blood, corpses piled high for their delights.
How did He fail to see that it is so?
Each day we wake, one way for it to go:
Clashing, sparring, an endless string of fights.
He must have been a fool - a child would know.
By His example did He hope to show
a way for us to live without these frights?
How did He fail to see it isn't so?
Ambition holds the Sky. I'm told it, though
His must have lifted heavens to new heights.
Perhaps He was a fool - each child does show
His loss is more than we can ever know.
Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Ero, in the year 981 AF.
