My Velvet Sin

Velvet sin in a cutglass tide,
You slip 'tween my lips like a lover denied.
Thick as honey and dark as shame,
You call me soft with a pirate's name.

You warm my throat with a breath of flame,
Each swallow a kiss, each gasp a game.
You curl on my tongue like a whispered moan,
And leave me aching when I'm alone.

I drink, and the world forgets to move
The lanterns sway in a rhythmic groove,
And my hips remember the ocean's song,
Where sails are passion, and nights are long.

Your scent; molasses and smoke and lust
Makes my pulse rise and morals rust.
I tilt the bottle, and stars grow dim
For all I crave is you& and him.

You cling to my throat like a secret kept,
A taste of the sin where angels wept.
And gods above or beasts below;
None love me quite the way you know.

So pour, my darling, drown me slow,
Let your warmth bloom deep and low.
If love is fleeting, if hearts come undone;
Then Ill find heaven in a mouthful of rum.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Miraman, in the year 980 AF.
