A Sailor's Shanty

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting something like this! I'd wanted to start with a hymn, but a shanty came to me first.

Like any good shanty or drinking song, it's meant to be improvised, with those taking part each making up their own verse. I've come up with a few example verses to share!

~~~~~
Sirens on the sea,
They say we're quite a sight,
You hear our songs over the waves,
It gives an awful fright.
Oh I don't want no more of sailing life,
Gee ma, I wanna go home!
I used to lure in sailors,
With melodies so sweet,
But now I just get splinters
From perching on this seat.
Oh I don't want no more of sailing life,
Gee ma, I wanna go home!
The sailors used to holler,
They said my song was fine,
But now they plug their ears up -
They say I'm out of line.
Oh I don't want no more of sailing life,
Gee ma, I wanna go home!
I flirted with a sailor,
He blushed and dropped his oar,
He swam back to his vessel-
And nailed shut every door.
Oh I don't want no more of sailing life,
Gee ma, I wanna go home!
So now Ia e stowed my rigging,
And hung up all my ropes,
No more decks and sailor talk-
Ia swimming home with hopes.
Oh I don't want no more of sailing life,
Gee ma, I wanna go -
Oh ma, why can't I go?
Gee ma, I wanna go home!
