The Spark in the Dark

There in the dark
Surrounded by darkness and decay
Came about a spark
As the Lightbringer joined the soiree

Moving with purpose
Blade alight in Her hand
Carving through the carcass
Of the vast undead heartland

"Stay back," She commanded
"These two are Mine."
The mortals stood planted
It was Lady Aurora's time

Flashing steel, shining Light
She stormed down the hall
Seeking Ur'Vampires to smite
Or impale them against the wall

Sword in hand she strode
Searing into the black
Before Her they were bowed
Their power, at first, seemed lax

But they began to assail
An assault of speed and rage
Together the Ur'Vampires wailed
A fierce battle was waged

Slipping past Her guard
One of them struck true
A piercing slice landed hard
Aurora stumbled, hands and arms askew

They pounced and punched
Pummeling Her against the stone
Unaware that the Lightbringer
Is never truly alone

As a Goddess wills
She did, and stood up straight
For wielded in Her other hand
Was the scimitar of her Bloodsworn mate

The Light of Creation
Dispatched with ease
This Ur'Vampire altercation
With masterful expertise

"I am a Goddess, you twits,"
She intoned with aggravation
"I decide if you stay,
Or are discarded with a bifurcation."

The mortals cheered, lauded Her victory
The Goddess paid it little mind
Her true prey was no mystery
She sought out Slith, leaving naught but ashes behind

Remember what I've told you here
Regarding Lady Aurora's might
When She left the Celestial Sphere
And destroyed Ur'Vampires one fateful night

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Miraman, in the year 913 AF.
