I have been called many.

Each time one slipped from your thin lips,
I chose not to respond

Because I was reminded of the lurid monogram
you must wear to convince the world who you are.

Behind its fraying edges,
a wounded heart is pinned to your sleeve.

Take it from someone who knows:

Bleeding all over everyone else
Will not assuage your pain.

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Valnuary, in the year 912 AF.
