Poetry News Post #5901

Until next time

Seed cuddles the earth
Origins? Inauspicious
Light. Water. Soon. Sprout.

Ornate roots expand
Navigating for its life
Growing upwards, soon

Always moving, now
Nestled within soils embrace
Dreaming while waking

The journey is long
Hard. The obstacles many
And death so close by

Now tasting fresh air
Kissed by the suns warming touch
Strength personified

For it takes so much
Only to last for a time
Radiant in bloom

Autumn advances
Leaves herald the coming death
Long known to them all

The petals wither
Husks, now - soon to feed the young
Endless cycles churn

Soon, the rest falls too
Perfect even in decay
Onwards, to new life

Return to the earth
End. Beginning. A seed falls.
Seed cuddles the earth.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Ero, in the year 904 AF.
