Amen

I lay down my life for you, my Lord
For the teachings and the tenets and the blessings you give us
I lay down my love for you, my Lord
For the pains and the aches and the ails from which you save us
I lay down my mind for you, my Lord,
For the collective you have made of us,
I lay down my soul for you, my Lord
For the individuality from which you cage us
Praise be, Hail Thee, in Your name I erase me
For you I rise, and for you I bow
For you I kneel, and for you I allow
All I ever was to sift through my fingers,
Until my faith is all that lingers
Amen
We lay down our swords for you, my Lord
In the name of the First, and the Second and the Third
We lift up our voices for you, my Lord
May all know His Holy Word!
We draw our knives for you, my Lord,
In the shadows behind curtains and in the space between worlds,
We lay down our lives for you, and we'll lay theirs down too
Praise You, Hail You, we fall if we fail You
For you I rise, and for you I bow
For you I kneel, and for you I allow
All I ever was to sift through my fingers,
Until my faith is all that lingers
Amen
I open my heart to you, my Lord, and that's when I realised
Anyone can capitalise a word like truth to conceal lies
And for my opened eyes, I'll be penalized, but I must step aside
Before what I thought was rebirth becomes demise
So I speak your name, in vain, unchained,
With the upper hand in the lowercase
Decry you
Revile you
I do defy you
For me I rise, and for none I bow
For some I kneel, and for myself I allow
All you ever were to sift through my fingers,
Because you are a god, but I believe in Ilira
Amen

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Scarlatan, in the year 894 AF.
