Distant islands made nearer
Through language of quill and parchment
Clandestine affairs, on the wings of doves

Threads of the heart, made whole on paper
Ink flows, stitching together the ache
Words whispered in poetic repose
Sweet rendezvous, on the wings of doves

As you sleep, I gaze the moon
Your radiance, glowing with the stars
Fluttering heart, the song of a night bird
I await thee return, on the wings of doves
