Mother

My mother's arms held me
When I was new born
Into this world of wonder
(and scorn)
My mother's arms held me
As rough as a stone
Wrapped 'round my neck when
(she) felt alone
My mother's arms held me
Away from the brink
From the dangers of falling
(freedom to think)
My mother's arms held me back
from my dreams
Sometimes in the darkness
I still hear her screams

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Daedalan, in the year 886 AF.
