Seasons

For the celebration of Cyrene's Divine Patron, Lady Lorielan, I wrote a cycle of haiku on the topic of the seasons in Cyrene.

Soft light greets each dawn
Gentle breezes bring fresh scents
Birds sing joyfully

Fiery rays burning
Radiantly across the land
Children scream with glee

Frost nips laggard crops
Leaves fluttering on the wind
Lone woodcutter chops

Frozen drifts pile high
Slicing winds howl with fury
Fires radiant warmth

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Valnuary, in the year 867 AF.
