Confession of a Free Druid!

Why have you come here you clothed beast
I am not like you and will never be
The nature allows me to serve her well
And in return she send me food and ale
My animal skin protect me good
I summon my flame and light some wood.

The city calls us the dirty and muddy ones
Yet, they seek the power of dragons.
Why, have you seen a Well dressed dragon?
Like a tent, they will be if they wear one.

I have not forgotten the tales of old
The druids who went to cities for gold
The politics and war faced them bold
When the weather was damp and freezing cold,
They bought the forest woods that were sold.

I am just an old druid
I am free like the birds of here
Where there is peace and harmony near
Perhaps listen to what I tell
Now get outta here & be well!

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Daedalan, in the year 840 AF.
