Ramblings

I am Mhun.
As far as I can recall,
I have always been.
I have a fondness for caves all.
Hmm
perhaps once I was a dwarf then,
in a time before I can remember.
Either way, I've found my kin.

I recall, once,
finding myself in a cave.
Truthfully, I found myself in
them more oft than nought.
Anyways, I found myself dwarfed See what I did there?
by towering spires of rock.
Stalactites and stalagmites,
all sorts of formations I'd been taught.

Taught by whom?
Good question.
Anyways, apparently water carves them.
Though I have a better reason,
for the water is but a ruse.
And that reason is...

Ethereal Earthen Moose.

Now you might think,
"Imberwick, you obviously made
that up to justify that bad rhyme."
No, well, hmm, quiet,
I'll explain it in good time.

Imagine scores of those antlered creatures.
Spirited in form with ghost-like features.
Swimming through the soil,
like schools of fishes.
Rolling and toiling in a great stampede.
Their clashes causing quakes, shakes, slides,
and all such other calamities that impede.

Why do they rampage? Why?
They lock horns in order to strive.
To crush competition underhoof,
to float to the top.
To seek out the aqueous nectar of life,
Water
Rocky antlers, both small and mountainous,
jutting up through the crust
like inverted roots.

Then again,
it could be deer.

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Glacian, in the year 839 AF.
