I'm Still Standing

Written by: Lii Ikarian, the Ice Maiden.

As the ashes surrounded her
Of a battle lost
She hoped for victory
Yet at how great a cost
Blood surrounded her
Countless lives had been shed
She once fought to live
Now she wished she were dead
She stumbled to rise
Against the bodies on her enmass
For her heart still beat on
This breath was not her last
She blinked wear eyes
At the overhead sun
Within her was a cry
"I must continue on."
For though the arrows in her back
Were not by her hand
She let out a defiant cry
"I still stand!"

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Lupar, in the year 819 AF.
