Hilma the Black

Hilma the Black

In the underground forest, where nobody goes
There's a black chicken, summoned by crows
Hilma the Black, shrouded in gloom
There to fulfill a dark pact of doom

With eyes of blue fire, she's a terrible fright
The insects around her run quickly from sight
The crows are dismayed by Hilma the Black
They can't control her or make her attack

She clucks and she scratches and pecks at the ground
Eating all the bugs and plants that are found
Ignoring the crows, as if they weren't there
Hilma the Black struts away with no care

A very bold magpie pulls at her tail
But is then swept away by a powerful gale
Hilma the Black will not be controlled
The crows fly away, their plans put on hold

Along comes a satyr and decides to have a taste
Chicken is so very rare in this place
Hilma the Black though was not amused
But after eating his eyes, all was excused

A goblin appears, looking quite scary
Swinging his sword that is blocked by her parry
Hilma the Black then opens her throat
Green acid shoots forth and the goblin was smote

A huge bat flutters in and becomes a vampire
Lured by the blood, his darkest desire
Hilma the Black, gives him no thought
She is THE chicken and could not be caught

To the surface, she climbs out of the hole
Snatching up morsels while out on her stroll
Some say you can hear her, clucking away
At night on the Hills, still to this day
