False decisions

Written by: Ameer

It’s a cold feeling
When joy is calling
But there is nothing moving inside

My heart is numb
Outside I look dumb
I pass it off as silly that I cried

And the notion that I’m free
The thing I cannot be
What drives the heart
Drives me apart

The flow of anxiety
A paranoid ecstasy
It hurts to fail so I could never try

They say it’s not me
But I’m all that I know
A false voice illusions that I’ll fly

And the notion that I choose
That I decide to lose
What drives the heart
Drives me apart

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Lupar, in the year 807 AF.
