Mausoleum

Written by: Maestro Ameer Chu, Insidious Secretary

Suffering, kept within
Conscience left burning
Anxieties left turning

The crowd comes forward
Cheering my name
Whispering my sins
Amongst themselves

The world looks forward
My shadow cannot move
Mausoleums beckon
No name carved in stone

Suffering, kept within
Conscience left burning
Anxieties left turning

The weight in my chest
Sinks with every thought
How can I be loved
All I know is pain

My mistakes laid bare
Every fault a mountain
No time to scale them
Trapped in this valley

Suffering, kept within
Conscience left burning
Anxieties left turning

If only I could let it out
Share what I could
Or flames consuming me
An example for others

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Lupar, in the year 806 AF.
