Life and Death in Nature

Life and Death in Nature
Bound in an eternal dance
From fresh leaf to manure
All in order to advance

An old tree falls
A warrior slain
Entering Maya's Halls
A mother's pain

Entered the realm of Thoth
The landscape wintered
Covered beneath white cloth
All hope and life interred

But then comes the burst of spring
Strengthened by what died before
on beats of Nature's powerful wing
The power of life will soar

The wolf that kills
To feed it's young
The hunt that thrills
Death's honour in song

One falls for the other to grow
Nature's power to thrive
To this power we all will bow
Life while you're alive!

Thus is Nature's Harmony
The Cycles' continuation
Life and Death's matrimony
For the growth of Creation

So don't fear the day
Lord Thoth claims your soul
It is the Natural way
Becoming part of the Greater Whole
