An Apology

I'm sorry
Would you like me
to go away?
I was hoping that I could stay
Here with you.
Old and new
It's all going by so fast.
Should've known that it couldn't last.
Can't be true.
But thankyou.
And although we both may be gone,
haven't lost anything, I've only won.
No one dies,
They just say goodbyes.
One more laugh and then let's part
You know I'm not the "stay-at-home" sort,
but we're both the type that's happy.
So goodbye, thanks, and I'm sorry.

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Scarlatan, in the year 543 AF.
