The Greatest Raid of Dannyl Maynard

Written by: Father Herenicus Coldraven

Gather my children, and listen ye hard,
Hear the heroics of Dannyl Maynard,
Champion of Justice, the Last Hope for Light,
Summoned by greatness that dark, lonesome night.

Standing by the moonlight, the Western world asleep,
Daring Maynard saw his chance to strike at Baelgrim's keep,
"There is a Master Crystal, Mhaldorians are few!
Follow me and we shall see what damage we can do!"

And so into the autumn chill, a small and ragged band,
No more than twenty-seven struck that dark and lonesome land,
Remember well his vengeance, as cold as mountains' dew,
A humble man immortalized by feats of daring do.

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Glacian, in the year 541 AF.
