Journey to Sea Lion Cove

Addressed to: Everyone
Upon the jagged rocks lining the cliffs
Fallen snow amidst powdered ashes
The Vashnars rise up, foreboding and stiff
Lakes of clouds wreathe peaks as sashes
Upon the footpath I stumble forth
By cruel claws, my body has been torn
Yet still I seek the yet invisible cove.
The blood red sun distresses my heart
As it sets on the towering mountain range
A treacherous fall awaits in the dark
Should one step land false in the dim and the faint
But my eyes are fixed upon that lighthouse of old
The sea lions bark and the waves brush the shoals
As I seek out the cavern of which I now know
Caverns of spiders, webs and bones
Caverns of death, poisonous and cold
Dripping echoes, sea rain on stone
In the caverns, all wander alone.
