The Poetry War!

This poem is the story of the poetry war!
Once long ago
in a land of dreams,
a kind of war was declared,
it had never been seen.

It was not between cities
or guild to guild,
it was poem to poem
and just for the thrill!

Not a weapon was used,
not a single peson hurt,
no blood touched the ground
to muddy up the dirt.

Some people complained,
"It takes up the news board,
it clutters the page,
all it is, is a waste of good space!"

The poets didn't listen,
they knew they did right.
They said, "No, we like it."
and carried on the fight.

Now any war that goes on too long,
gets boring and dull to those in the strife.
That was the case of this fun fight,
so the poets called truce and ended their plight.

Their spirits weren't broken, only appeased.
They soon became restless, and hard to please,
so they restarted the war
and their spirits soared!

My staory has come to present times.
It is starting all over,
and will have the same result.
All

(opps, thats not supposed to be in there!)
I hope everybody has a good time!
