i am a bard,
a wandering bard
a wondering bard
a plundering bard
i swashbuckle daily
and using my rope
my trusty old rapier,
all swifty and
goats!
i attack while they chew on their grass
i attack, then move on to the little old lass
merrygold's the name, i learn with a smirk
i pull out my dirk.
then i give her advice:
"buy credits tomorrow, then sell them for twice"
she raises an eyebrow, "insane" she must think
but is raised from her reverie with a sharp metallic "plink"
she looks back to me fast, but alas is too slow,
in the place where i was is the sunlight's soft glow
the dirk was a ploy to distract her real fast,
while i made off with her bundle of cash.
my long day is over, and when time comes to plunk,
i gamble my earnings, and fall asleep drunk.

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Ero, in the year 495 AF.
