Poetry News Post #3494

Whole Again

Written by: Wielder of Song, Sefton Fol'ia, Benevolent Bard
Date: Tuesday, November 11th, 2008
Addressed to: Everyone

with eyes I watch yet do not act
with ears I hear yet I break my pact
with limbs I stand impotent still
with heart of fury and lack of will
with bodies tossed friends are dead
with rubble abound where life had spread
with home no longer I cannot say
with broken soul I lost my way
with every moment that passes by
with lasting regret I wonder why
with this breath I am proven shame
with this poem I stake my claim
with heavy quill I drop my pen
and wonder when I am whole again.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Miraman, in the year 494 AF.
