Poetry News Post #3425

inspiration

From the leisure of safety, what folly to delve deep.
For the curious dare tempt calmity to create a new world,
As the one gambles strength to love another.
The fearful climb into coffins and imagine protection.
The silent continue thinking what they do not risk saying.
To spill words apon the stones of time which become etched there
is bold and reaps eternal punishment.
Yet in this great choice,
a mile wide emptiness has a chance to be crossed.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Scarlatan, in the year 477 AF.
