Two broken faces filled with pain
denied the love of one child
Rejection is all I gave them
when all they gave me was love

Then I wonder every day
After what I've done to them,
Could they look at me again
with that loving smile?

Could they forgive me?
Would they forgive me?
I know I've disgraced them
but they are my fathers.

I have only one thing for them
My heart full of love.
and I ask just one thing in return
acceptance back into their home

I wonder every day
After what I've done to them,
Could they hug me again
with that warm embrace?

I wish they could forgive me
I wish they would forgive me
as I write this poem
asking for just that.

to be forever able
to call them my fathers
because I love them with
