Cyrene

What a lovely city is Cyrene
Peaceful and yes, serene
How love there is to sit around
Loafing in the gardens of this fair town
At least that is what it once was
And now is again

To be lovely is insured
When you visit this place
For its wonderfulness is earned
It has one the lovely race

Now what a race such at this?
Can it sorely be missed?
To the common eye it cannot be seen
Perhaps to some it is naught but a dream.

To be assured to this place
In my mind you have won this race
The most peaceful, the most loving
Yet, I admit, others are not too shabby

Now dear City, I ask you this
When am I to be unenemied, I do wish...

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Glacian, in the year 463 AF.
