Taking Words

I turned this letter into a poem
As i read the words over and over in my head
Drifting through like broken hearts
My mind has a mind of it's own
But it never played it's part

I stand here watching the words you say
Deaf to you, I see your cries, wishing i could help
Because all i can do is watch and wait
And take the words, one at a time
I'm sorry i'm always late

Another satisfying crunch as the bone breaks
It held my dignity upright and now it's just a drama
My life is but a drama, applaud please
And when i die, i'll say a thousand words
And so i'll keep the crowd appeased.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Mayan, in the year 462 AF.
