Your portraiture, its luster still
Beneath that dusty window sill
Brings joy to me, sweet memories
Of days when you belonged to me.

Of times (too brief!) when you would smile
And silence me, this cynic's trial
For now it leaves this lovelorn man
Clutching at mere memories.
