Blindsight

Written by: Prophetess Bluef Ze'Dekiah, The Cerulean Nganga
Date: Thursday, August 2nd, 2007
Addressed to: Prophet of Babel, Flair Ze'Dekiah, the Big Flan

You and I were dissolving
like bone buried in soil,
the bond between us
familiar yet diminishing.

If only we were totem and earth;
I thought my hands could reach out,
embrace your formless black heart
and root us together again.

I had implanted these dreams of us, but awaken now:
Such Order could not cultivate our marriage.
All things fall back upon themselves; love too
demonstrates a power no mortal can wield.

Night has been conjured across my eyes,
a dark cloak so like the entropic folds of Chaos,
the shadows that line your face; unruly
but beautiful in what it has revealed.

As I await your touch once more,
I welcome darkness like an old friend.
May it show me a path I'd long forgotten,
winding and unknown, the road back to you.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Sarapin, in the year 457 AF.
