The foxfire in your eyes alight
In fires burnt aloft at sea

Aurora of my sleepless jest
Brighter than the flaming ships
Where fallen heroes go to rest.

No rouge would make your cheek as bright
As dusky shades do make them sweet
No hackneyed idol worth the fight
To fan your dark and sultry heat.

Your voice is carried 'pon the wind
As sparks of ragin wildfire
Drifting on currents to send
