Quill from a Paltry Poultry

Why no make a bigger quill
For bulky finger wield?
This feather from a noisy goose
Gnaash find in nearby field
And sharpen tip with rapier edge
Until could hold a point,
But pliant shaft and oafish grip
Are factor much disjoint
For make a flowing script.

Maybe troll be relegate
To write with piece of coal
Upon a chunk of level slate
To manage some control?

Gnaash can sketch with pointy stick
For make them vibrant runes
That hunter spear and shield and arm
Can see brightly festoons.
A single character can scribe
In spite unwieldy thumbs,
But no can write so many words
Epic poetry or dictums,
With twigs and wings of birds.

So Gnaash go look for bigger fowl
With wing-span fill the sky,
Can scribble consonant and vowel
As cloud go floating by.
