The days never seemed as long when I stood on the edge..
I watched the days become months and then years
And I just let them fade away
As I watched that sapphire sky pass by me.

My hourglass is slowly slipping and lose every grain
And my memories of you begin to fade till you're not there,
But I'll always remember you and yet everyone else will forget
Again..
I let the tears fall down..
As I watched that sapphire sky pass by me.

My hope, my heart, my dreams seem so far away
Just so very far away now that you've gone and everything changed.
The smiles are not true, the joy becomes so bittersweet for me
Thinking about it, I lay down letting the moonlight peep through
the empty darkness.
I watched the children grow into old age..
As I watched that sapphire sky pass by me.

Today, I shall change - today I am old.
No one's around for I've pushed them all deeper down that
path that I could never take.
Staring at the sky, I knew that like a cloud..
I would disappear soon.. so very soon.

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Mayan, in the year 432 AF.
