Maya's Harmony

This was my entry for the Harmony writing contest.

Maya's Harmony

The Goddess of Destruction came that day,
Robed all in black, astride a dragon red,
Flames crackled 'round Her stark ebon array,
And locks of onyx snaked around Her head.

Maya stood beside Her, calm and sweet,
From white mists was the Goddess' body formed,
Delicate Her limbs, and bare Her feet,
Dreamy was Her visage, and eyes warm.

Side by side They stood, the two apart,
Harsh black and misty white, Their own work done,
Then stepped into the other, mind and heart,
Black and white and grey- then only One.

In this grey-robed Goddess all could see
The two perfected in Their harmony.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Valnuary, in the year 429 AF.
