O, Cyrenian willow, why dost thou weep?
I remember your once radiant smile
In my troubled sleep.
O, Cyrenian willow, for whom dost thou grieve?
He said goodbye so long ago on that
foggy midsummer's eve.
O, Cyrenian willow, let me wipe away that tear.
I will sit beneath your fragile boughs
and keep your heartbeat near.
O, Cyrenian willow, please don't turn away.
The fog has already lifted and
we face a brand new day.
O, Cyrenian willow, healing may take years.
So let's talk and laugh and share our smiles
And conquer all our fears.
. . .
O, Cyrenian willow, why did things go wrong?
My heart is broken forever, love...
My days and nights here are now much too long.
Written in your memory, angel. The fire consumed me.
Penned by my hand on the 1st of Scarlatan, in the year 423 AF.
