To the one I hold so dear:


His lips feel like blankets,
keeping me warm.
His hands feel secure
protecting me from harm.

He lets me know,
his heart is true.
With the simple phrase,
of 'I love you.'

He does not abuse,
this heart I have given.
He keeps it strong,
so I might keep livin'.

My life is for him,
Everyone sees it in my eyes.
And to him, my heart is true.
I tell him no lies.

I could go on and on,
about this man which I adore.
And with all he gives me,
This poem might even the score.

So to the one I hold dear,
I have only this to say...
I will love you forever,
until the end of our days.
