The Fisherman

This is a tale of a Fish and a Man:
The Fish is conceited: lies whenever He can
He strutted and blustered and named himself king of the sea.
But His doom was upon Him, Dark as can be.
He boasted of deeds undone. Braggard and liar
Insulting Those whose purpose was higher.
So the Man went ahunting, to catch the foul beast
He would catch Him and gut Him, and eat Him - a feast!
With His rod, his bait and his hook - Thrice mighty!
No Fish could elude Him - be it ever so flighty.
And so the Man sat down by the bank - dark eyes a-twinkling
The Fish swam below Him without even an inkling.
With a practiced flick of His hand, it was done.
The Fish lay before Him, flapping and gasping. Nowhere to run.
Until at last it was over - the Fish lay dead.
Darkness descended and the Man was well fed.
Let this be a lesson to the Fish of the world.
Liars will suffer - let the truth be unfurled.
Remember - the Fisherman is the one you should fear
You may not see Him, but He is here.
