Come, my love, come to me
Leave behind the weary sea.
No longer shall you have to journey
Over the vast and restless deep.
Come, my sea-sick love, and rest
Follow the sound of my song's request
And not the nautical astrolabe's behest
Come unto me and rest, 'tis an easy choice.
Dream with me, of waves not plagued by kraken
restore securely, knowing that your ship's not taken
Come with me, and traverse the streets of Riparium
And enjoy the bounty of Nissandar's kingdom.
What is it, my love, that you so fear?
The cry of the crew - tis aught but a cheer!
Rejoicing as they've sighted land off of Delos,
Tis not the thing which you fear the most.
Cease the worried pacings of thy tiny cabin.
Fear not, you would never leave the decks.
You're not the type to forsake your ship,
Even when her fortunes have begun to slip.
Come, let me soothe thy fevered brow.
Release thy vigil on the weathered prow
The mermaid has long gone by now
And you need not heed her warning.
No longer shall you have to fear
The giant octopi's embrace, my dear.
The fearsome eel shall be thy pet
Please, just please do not be upset.
The ship's been docked, the hull long breeched
Her final harbor within this cavern reached
Come, my captain, and rest in the briny deep
Partake of your reward, eternal sleep
The tempest's passed, the test is done
Enjoy the victory that we have won
Over the limits of mortal life,
When you have taken me to wife.
Penned by my hand on the 6th of Daedalan, in the year 409 AF.
