Lithe and nimble creature of the valley
Gaily swimming in a green grass sea
Behind your placid eyes storms crash
Your horns are the Daggers of the Pash
Burly brown mountain of fur and claw
Lumber over peaks with dripping maw
Might makes right of way on narrow pass
A snarled greeting to hunters en masse
Antelope and grizzly like night and day
A lazy hunter, an assiduous prey
Each to each respect is deserved
For life, for will, for a future reserved
And so to man woman child goes grace
Of being and a right to such space
As we wish to occupy if rightly we claim
If we give respect we should reap the same
No matter our weapons or disposition
Flitting and joyful or bearish volition
Ask not the grizzly to romp or to hide
Seek out the sentient being inside
Show like respect to the antelope's play
Honour the differences in varied array
