I want my title back, Talkaze! Sonnet #32 (upon Love again)

Written by: Convicted Innocent, Delgarth Temperley
Date: Tuesday, July 5th, 2005
Addressed to: Bailarina Valnyran, Song and Grace Given Form

This is a poor attempt to make up for my odd, recent absences, as if it
were not bad enough that we are so distant...

My darling bird of desire, tenderness and softly spoken love,
Do not hate that in my heart I have thee trapped,
In this my cage of words and loudly proclaimed love,
And upon each chamber, each pretty facet of thee mapped,
For in such poorly, uncreative musings can I lay bare,
Unspoken and yet foolish, inadequacies,
Regretting each second that I waste not there,
In thy warming arms of warmer intimacies.
So thus do I respond with suffocating dreams,
The last will and testament of a man drowned in love,
Love feared unmatched, love more than it seems,
Love that would dare stain this unblemished dove.
I love you with all my heart and still much more,
Yet still surprised, on seeing the heavens, have settled for one so
poor.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Lupar, in the year 396 AF.
