Poetry News Post #2546

Will you?

Written by: Achimenius Winterwind, Devout of Light
Date: Sunday, April 24th, 2005
Addressed to: Apprentice Druidess Tania I'stari

From the first time you smiled
My heart flit like a happy child
With the ring, I asked for your
Hand as I knelt on the floor
Though there seemed to be lies
Floating about us, in front of our eyes
Your trust I dearly cherish
And hope they stay and flourish
People say I like you for your race
Or just to glimpse at your pretty face
That's not true, I'll love you all my life
Will you be my one and only wife?

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Mayan, in the year 390 AF.
