Mother.
My mother up there,
Looking down upon us
Our fragile, soft hearts.

Today we wept
Our tears of ice
Freezing our spirits
Glowing with desperation
No glow to rival Yours
But one to hold fast the pain
That threads itself through
The holes in our hearts.

You gaze on unjudging
As you weave milk
into the sky.
Young, Gravid, and Wise.

Indiscriminate Mother
Who will not shame me.
Silver and white laces
And a face for all stages.
Your starlit gown
Shall catch my choking sobs
And upon Your palms
My tears turn to diamonds.
For You will smile
And validate my heart.

For I cannot feel shame
In Your light.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Ero, in the year 390 AF.
