A Tale of Two Cities

A Tale of Two Cities

Its said history we are doomed to repeat,
yet with these words I endeavour to accomplish a feat.
May my words be heard by the ears of the wise,
so that those who are fools might live out their lives.

The Jewel of the East, a folly indeed,
where citizens claim to help those in need.
Yet their poor little orphans beg for good food,
apprently not served by a holier than thou attitude.

The legends of Yeshua, of Aldair, and of Maran La'Saen,
the current Viziers should be hungry to claim.
In order for one to be as goodly bad as they,
you simply must sell your souls away.

They opened a box and saw a surprise,
because of those buffoons flames filled the sky.
We watched all our friends fall into the conflagration,
and the Crown of the Ithmia wept as a nation.

The Jewel was righteous, filled with righteous might indeed,
yet what of the innocents to which they paid no heed?
Apparently the Enlightened are so only by convenience,
able to take actions that have no granted credence.

This warning I say to the Jewel of the East,
you are being decieved by the mark of the beast.
Be warned that your diamond is a flawed jewel,
littered with imperfections and eager to rule.

Watch the fingers, watch the feet,
see the end that its friends meet.
Oaths and Promises are cast astray,
when the diamond comes your way.

Heed my words Jewel of the East and things will go well,
ignore my precognition and I fear you'll see hell.
Though you might think that the jewel you have found,
The brighest gemstone resides right here, in the Crown.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Daedalan, in the year 390 AF.
