Poetry News Post #2494

final emrace

Written by: Ashwalker Groton Darkthorne, Grimm's Wordsmith
Date: Tuesday, March 29th, 2005
Addressed to: Everyone

We’ll slip away in stockinged feet
just you and I
we’ll go away together
as the moon rides across the sky

We’ll go to that rocky bluff
overlooking the sea
from there we’ll take the plunge
you embracing me

since we can’t love in life
we shall forever embrace in death
whispering sweet nothings
in our last breaths

and so we’ll be together
just you and I
walking on stockinged feet
as the moon rides across the sky

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Chronos, in the year 388 AF.
