The flame burned so brightly
Brilliantly shining
Lighting the way
Yet nothing was illuminated.

I couldnt know
You didnt tell me
The fire burned
But the inside was so cold.

I could feel the warmpth
The tougue dancing in the wind
It was just an illusion
I was the only one fooled.

The flame has been extinguished
Snubbed by my tears
All that remains now
Is a foul smelling smoke.
