I just want some socks...

My parents are rich and quite well off
For me they would pay out the nose
And even though my birthday's here soon
I have a suggestion to pose

I've gotten pets and flowers and things
Half of I don't know their names
Ive gotten clothes and baubles and herbs
Houses, trees, fountains and games

I have a giraffe that I like to call Fred
And a frog, I call him George
A diamond necklace that's three miles long
And my very own personal forge

Masks and costumes, skirts and shirts
Fish and ponds and toys and books
A study, a chest, a pink zebra dress
A large pink gem that enhances my looks

A coat, a boat and a ferry man
His name is Garret, he's cute
A personal carriage and driver for me
And an authentic Sarapis suite

I have mirrors and makeup and fine glass beads
Shoe strings, boot laces and more
I even have a star that's been named after me
And frilly cuffed dresses galore

But one little thing that I haven't got
And I find it quite necessary
Is nice warm pair of colored wool socks
Whether fashionable, cute, old or scary

The socks, they and I, we'd be great pals
Id name them Wilma and Zap
Id wear them all day and wash them at night
So Id no longer be a sockless sap

Id strut my stuff if they had stripes
Id show them off if they had spots
Id pull my pants up to my knee
And lovingly scrub them in my mamas pots

I just want a pair of pretty foot covers
So parents, loves, please don't forget!
For a pair of good socks can be your best friend
For you have not one but a set

I fear I shall faint most dead away
If I receive yet another Snow Yak
I only wish to have nice woolen socks
Anything else, I'll give back!!
