Lute and mandolin booklet, Song I.
To be performed at the next New Year's day concert.

Title: Chase away my sorrow
Accompaniment: lute and mandolin

Dawn by dawn I wait here,
Watching different colours
In strangers' eyes,
Looking for the grasslands,
Skies and birds and kisses
Behind your lies,

I am lost inside, deep within this labyrinth of your smiles,
Dawn by dawn I wait here
Watching different colours
In your eyes.

When the songs of autumn,
All go passing by us,
With the scent of wine,
And we wait for silence
Brought to us with snowflakes,
And the passing time.

I'll be lost inside, deep within this labyrinth of your frowns,
When the songs of autumn,
All go passing by us,
With the scent of wine.

(instrumental passage)

Chase away my sorrow,
You have all the power
To keep me sane
World that loves the famous
Never will be able
To find my name

Chase away my sorrow,
All the worldly malice,
Can't do us harm,
Let me sleep forever, within little labyrinth of your arms.

~End~

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Scarlatan, in the year 385 AF.
